NEW! Whisk Broom Class

November 22 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$100

NEW CLASS OFFERING! Join us for an afternoon and make a variety of whisk brooms. Beginners will start with a cake tester/pot scrubber using the ends of the stalks to get the hang of the process. We will then move on to a beginner broom, called the triad. The next broom we make will be your choice of a hawks tail or turkey wing. Those with experience can start with whichever broom you want. Upgrade to dyed broom corn for $10/broom. Class fee includes 3 projects. Additional projects $25. Those with some experience can make 4-5 brooms in this time.

Moderate hand/shoulder strength required. We will be working with broom corn, a grassy material that some people may have minor allergic reactions to. You may want to wear long sleeves and bring an antihistamine just in case. Wear pants and close-toed shoes that won’t slip off. You use your hands and feet to make brooms!
