So I had a smurf collection - epic smurf collectio So I had a smurf collection - epic smurf collection. We have moved so much stuff lately and finally got rid of our post-Helene storage unit, saving tons of money but also realizing my smurf collection didnt make it out of the shop. Why was it in the shop? We just moved house a year before and didnt know if we would stay - so lots of “stuff” went to Curve which was supposed to be more stable! Lesson learned: have less stuff. Except for when a friend sends you a sympathy chair smurf! Thanks Becky -Rose Valley Woodworks - she isnt on social (smart) but does amazing work - both with her own work and her work with @the_chairmakers_toolbox #chairnerdsneversaydie
Last but certainly not least on our Baltimore adve Last but certainly not least on our Baltimore adventure was a tour of Camp small, the city of Baltimore‘s sawmill, which is a brilliant thing that every city should have. All trees and limbs cut down in the city come to the space to be chipped, turned into firewood, or milled and kiln dried sold to local Chairmakers. They also train people to use the machines and make furniture out of the locally sources wood! Well done, Baltimore! I wish we had this in Asheville. #circulareconomy #woodsovereignity #localeconomy #locallysourced

A must for me for this trip to Baltimore was visit A must for me for this trip to Baltimore was visiting @aworkshopofourown which Ive been following for years. I’d forgotten about @romeotheshopcat until I saw him IRL! I was obsessed with this cat for ages but the craft nerd in me and the purpose of the trip was work so when I saw him it was like seeing a famous person come around the corner. WOO just announced spring classes with @sarah_marriage & @arcburn_furniture so sign up! They are working on their non-profit status and your class fees will help them finish their buildout from their recent move to the new space. Plus - their offerings are excellent. I want to take all the classes!
