Learn to weave a chair seat with rattan splint reed in a herringbone twill pattern.
Class Length: 5-6 hours
Includes six hours of instruction, splint reed, and all tools/materials necessary to complete the project.
BYOC: Bring you own chair or we can provide one for you with advance notice for ~$40-$50.
BIG rocking chairs: Due to their size and weight, these are not suitable for a class setting. Restoring these chairs requires a lot of strength. The material is not ideal for living outside.
*After the class: Your seat should be sealed with shellac the next day. We can do this for you and you can pick it up, you can return and do it yourself, or we can send you home with simple instructions for doing it yourself.
