US Chair Caning Tour
Dave and I recently launched our US Chair Caning Tour with a trip to The Island Farm in Manteo, NC. We were hired by the Outer Banks Conservationists to repair a few really old chairs that reside in a living history house dating from 1847. They were generous enough to give us a free place to stay on the property so we offered to work on the chairs en plein air at their visitor’s center. We were received like rock stars….we even had a groupie!
Want us to come to your town? We’d be happy to demo, teach, or repair chairs for summer camps, groups of friends, historic houses, museums, or whatever’s clever. Call 828-707-4553 or email gochairrepair@gmail.com
