Handmade Whisk Broom Workshop

Join us on the porch at the yummy Rabbit Hole Bakery/Sunny Point Cafe! Learn and leave with two types of whisk brooms – the triad and the turkey wing broom. (See photos below)

Open to ages 12 and up. Moderate hand and shoulder strength necessary. Plan to arrive early and purchase delicious snacks and festive beverages. Parking on State St, Venue at # 9 State St, Asheville, NC 28806.

Small whisk brooms make great gifts and are meant to be used! The best brooms for workshops, cars, counters, or…at the very least…great decorations to hang and look cool. The class cost includes instruction and materials for 2 brooms. Additional materials are available for students with extra time and idle hands [$15/broom].  Tools are available for the newly addicted broom-squire to keep making brooms at home [$10/treadle, $15/broom].

In this informal workshop, you’ll gain a basic understanding of the methods used in broom making. Choose from a variety of colors for your designs and create a fun and functional gift for yourself or others.
