Whisk Broom Workshop

Learn to make two types of whisk brooms – the triad and the turkey wing broom.

This new class is our beginner offering – we don’t know how to do handle brooms…yet! We are relative newbies to the broom making craft and we can’t wait to learn more from our mentors, Marlow Gates, Mark Hendry, and Heather Ashworth. We’ve had tons of fun making these small brooms by the dozen…and that’s just the beginning of a new obsession.

In this informal workshop, you’ll gain a basic understanding of the methods used in broom making. Choose from a variety of colors for your designs and create a fun and functional gift for yourself or others. These brooms are great shop brooms or for small kitchen messes.

The class cost includes instruction and materials for 2 brooms. Students are welcome to spend any remaining workshop time making as many brooms as they desire…or, more realistically, as many as they can physically create. Materials for additional brooms are $10/project.
